Eastern Economic Forum magazine reports on the development of the Far East in a multipolar world

The Roscongress Foundation has published a magazine for the Eastern Economic Forum. Its main theme matches the Forum’s tagline: «The Path to a Multipolar World». It is available in Russian and English, and will be distributed at the Forum venue, in official Forum vehicles, on Aeroflot Moscow — Vladivostok —Moscow flights and through mailing lists. The e-version is available on the website forumvostok.ru in the Magazine section, and in the roscongress.org Information and Analytical System.

The magazine’s core section is devoted to the global processes currently taking place in the economy and in geopolitics. The publication describes the main areas of cooperation with China, India and other Asia-Pacific Region countries. In an exclusive interview, Alexey Chekunkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, shares his vision of the current situation.

A separate article describes the development of the Northern Sea Route, the Baikal — Amur Mainline, the Trans-Siberian and other transport projects, as it is the logistics infrastructure that is largely determining the eastward expansion of trade and economic ties at present.

From other articles, readers will learn how Primorye’s tourism industry is recovering after the pandemic, how the Far East is attracting Old Believers, how — despite the harsh climate — a local wine industry is starting to develop, and where in Russia the first falconry team will be put together. Nature lovers will also be interested in the article on the revival of the Amur tiger population, written to coincide with the 2nd International Tiger Forum to be held on 5 September on the opening day of EEF 2022.

Naturally, the magazine will also tell readers what will be happening at the Forum venue. It will provide brief guides to the federal authorities’ ‘Welcome to the Far East’ and ‘Far East Street’ exhibitions, as well as information on thematic areas and various of the Roscongress Foundation’s projects on the side-lines of EEF. They include Innovation Space, Healthy Life, the Innosocium Foundation, the International Centre for Joint Initiatives (ICJI), Point Junior and VinoGrad.

The Forum section contains a handy venue navigator, useful contacts, addresses and the main events of the business, cultural and sports programmes.
