Roscongress Foundation holds presentation on Innosocium Nationwide Social Project Competition at Russian State Social University

Roscongress Foundation’s social platform recently held a presentation on the Innosocium Nationwide Social Project Competition at the Russian State Social University (RSSU). The event included a master class for students on social advertising and communications.

Among those to speak was Vladimir Vainer, Director of the Gladway Foundation for Media and Social Project Development. Commenting that social advertising is the advertising of the future, Vainer outlined the ways in which it can respond to social issues, and explained why innovations come specifically from the social sector.

Vainer also underscored the importance of the fact that the competition is aimed at student teams, and shared his experience of developing a student project. «The fact that Innosocium’s audience are students is crucial. Now is the time to start putting your plans into practice. As students, you have far more opportunities than you will following graduation. Seize this moment — do various tests and experiments and give your best, and check the various opportunities available to you right now which will help improve the way you live in your country,» he said.

«One of Innosocium’s priorities is to support and develop tools for mass social communications. For students, this is not only a chance to create something important and interesting, and to raise awareness of social issues concerning them; it is also an opportunity to take part in major events run by Roscongress and present their projects to a broad audience in the business community. The competition is of great importance in terms of building young people’s skills in social communications — a sector upon which our future depends,» said Elena Marinina, Deputy Director for

Social Programmes at the Roscongress Foundation.

The Roscongress Foundation and the Art, Science and Sport charity foundation launched the Innosocium nationwide competition in September 2018. It seeks to identify new ideas in the field of communications by which to solve social issues, recognize and encourage talented students, and spread effective experience of planning social projects in the student sphere. Students are invited to develop their projects in three main categories: active ageing, social inclusion, and regional development.

«Socially significant projects such as these raise young people’s interest in the social sphere. In turn, the foundation, with its fresh and original solutions, is coming up with new and effective tools in social communications. These tools are also applicable in active ageing initiatives,» said Ekaterina Kruglova, Executive Director of the Memory of Generations Charitable Foundation.

The finalists of the Innosocium competition will be announced in February 2019 at the Russian Investment Forum. The winners will receive funding for their project, and will have the opportunity to present their ideas at SPIEF 2019 in St. Petersburg.

The deadline to enter is 28 December 2018. Applications may be submitted via https://innosocium.ru.
