A new chapter in the history of the Innosocium National Social Projects Contest

The social platform of the Roscongress Foundation is launching Lectorium Innosocium regular meetings of student in support of the Innosocium National Social Projects Contest. The first event is scheduled for 28 May 2019 at the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.

The Roscongress Foundation Social Platform initiative, designed to develop the social agenda among the country’s young people, has been developed to include the Innosocium contest between students communities. This first took place in 2018, gathering over a hundred applications fr om students in 25 Russian regions. The challenges for which the competitors offered solutions included development of the territory of their own town and region, adaptation of the environment for the disabled and elderly, and formation of an inclusive society.

The awards ceremony was held as part of the Russian Investment Forum in February 2019 and the winners will present their successfully implemented projects at the coming St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in June 2019. This young Contest is developing rapidly thanks to talented students demonstrating tremendous initiative and, in 2019, gained support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. As a logical continuation, it was decided to launch regular Lectorium Innosocium meetings wh ere students can share experience, discuss and make good use of their time on a par with experts!

The topic of the first meeting on 28 May 2019, for instance, will be: «Online education: for and against», which, though not a new topic is extremely relevant today. Today’s education system is hard to imagine without digital technologies but can the experience of life interaction actually be replaced and is this worth doing? This is what the debate participants are to clarify. Students from the country’s regional higher educational institutions will also take part in the meeting by online broadcast.

The event headliner will be Prof. Tatyana Chernigovskaya, DSc (Physiology and the theory of language), Associate Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, of St. Petersburg State University’s general linguistics department. The first meeting will include an online quiz among the students and the winners will be awarded gifts from the partners of the contest and the event!

Lectorium Innosocium will take place on 28 May 2019 at the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, address: 7 Miusskaya Square, bldg.. 1, Moscow. Begins at 13:00.
