The challenges for which the competitors offered solutions included development of the territory of their own town and region, adaptation of the environment for the disabled and elderly, and formation of an inclusive society.
The awards ceremony was held as part of the Russian Investment Forum in February 2019 and the winners will present their successfully implemented projects at the coming St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in June 2019. The topic of the first meeting on 28 May 2019, for instance, will be: «Online education: for and against», which, though not a new topic is extremely relevant today. Today’s education system is hard to imagine without digital technologies but can the experience of life interaction actually be replaced and is this worth doing? This is what the debate participants are to clarify. Students from the country’s regional higher educational institutions will also take part in the meeting by online broadcast.
The event headliner will be Prof. Tatyana Chernigovskaya, DSc (Physiology and the theory of language), Associate Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, of St. Petersburg State University’s general linguistics department. The first meeting will include an online quiz among the students and the winners will be awarded gifts from the partners of the contest and the event!
