The Roscongress Foundation’s social platform – the Innosocium Foundation has joined the Donors Forum. Innosocium began engaging in active charitable work as part of the We’re Together mutual assistance campaign, raising RUB 98 million from major Russian and international companies such as Aqualine, Coca-Cola, MTS, Gazprom Neft, and Philip Morris International to help Russians who found themselves in danger because of COVID-19. Despite the easing of quarantine restrictions throughout Russia, the Foundation has made the strategic decision to continue its charitable work.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has provided a major boost to the development of philanthropic trends in society. Numerous socially responsible organizations have taken an interest in developing long-term systematic programmes. In this case, these aren’t only targeted donations, but a kind of venture philanthropy – a combination of not only monetary, but intellectual resources as well. This approach creates the conditions needed to further develop charity in Russia, enhance professionalism and openness, and unify communities”, Adviser to the Russian President Anton Kobyakov said.
The Donors Forum is an association of major grant-providing organizations that operate in Russia. It is the only association of foundations and companies in the country that regularly engages in charitable activities. Its main activities include exchanging information and working methods among various donor organizations, developing and disseminating standards and ethical norms of philanthropic activities, and representing the interests of the donor community.
