The NPO LAB project of the Roscongress Foundation’s Social Platform will open at the 4th Eastern Economic Forum, which takes place on 11–13 September in Vladivostok. It will present advanced social technologies which are to allow for a favourable living environment in the Russian Far East and form the foundation for sustainable development of the region in the future, as well as launch National Social Projects Contest Innosotsium.

The NPO LAB platform is a functional communication domain for discussions and presentations of successful social projects involving non-profit organizations, government representatives and social ventures.

The NPO LAB agenda at the EEF 2018 includes the issues of environmental protection, implementation of programmes for active longevity, demographic landscape improvement, human capital and economic potential of the Far East, as well as the development of social communications in the region. In particular, panel session ‘The Forces Driving Change of Society: How to Create Effective Social Communication’ of the Forum Business Programme is to consider the issues of social communication.

Presentation of Innosotsium, Centre for Social Communications Development, a joint project of the Roscongress Foundation and the Art, Science and Sports Charity Foundation. Also, the registration for the Centre’s National Social Projects Contest is to open at the EEF 2018. University students majoring in communications, media and design can submit their applications. The contest projects are to be in health care, environmental protection, education, active longevity, inclusiveness, women’s leadership, territories development, and culture. The contest aims to draw the youth’s attention to public issues and to stimulate the search for their solutions, promote skills of social projects development and implementation using modern communications tools. The contest winners are to receive a monetary reward and support in project implementation.

Moreover, the educational programme of the Innosotsium contest includes lectures and workshops from the communications experts.
