Women's Health — Welfare of the Nation Forum

This forum is put together by the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum as part of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, together with the Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Innosocium Foundation, a social platform of the Roscongress Foundation with support from the Russian Ministry of Health.

Women's leadership is a key area of the Innosocium Foundation's work.

The goal of the Women's Health — Welfare of the Nation Forum is to promote the ideas and projects of the Eurasian Women's Forum.

Our main tasks are as follows:


—  Bringing together the efforts of the government, businesses, the scientific community, and civil societies;

—  Creating conditions for women to promote the values of healthy and active lifestyles, as well as eco-friendly products and ecotourism;

—  Promoting Russian-made products, healthcare technologies, and services;

—  Fostering international cooperation between women in health care, maintaining active and healthy lifestyles, and sharing experience.


The forum focuses on the role of women in the national Healthcare project and building value systems related to

—  healthy lifestyles;

—  promoting the latest advances in Russian healthcare technologies;

—  fostering international cooperation between women in healthcare and the beauty industry.

 
“In the face of today’s challenges, the health of society is of utmost importance, and women can make a significant contribution to ensuring it. The goal of the forum is to promote the inclusion of women in the struggle to promote a healthy lifestyle for the country,” said Galina Karelova, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council. “Every year women take an increasingly active part in all areas of society. We are involved in all developmental areas of science and culture, healthcare, economics, and digital technologies, and success in making sure citizens have healthy and long lives depends on what we do.”

“The role of women is one of the most relevant themes of most global forums on economic development, healthcare, education, culture, and other vital issues. The importance of involving women in all spheres of society has already been accepted by the governments of most countries. Obviously, without this, the further development of the global economy is impossible. In light of this, women's health issues are a separate and important topic, which has inspired the organizers of the Women's Health — Welfare of the Nation Forum,” said Elena Marinina, deputy director of the Roscongress Foundation and director of the Innosocium Foundation. “Russia is taking serious steps to strengthening its role in the global community of women. This forum has vividly demonstrated the importance of dialogues at all levels of government, business, and public organizations on preserving the health of our women. Today, women play a serious role in the health and beauty industry and, by working together at municipal, interregional, and international levels, we can help resolve many issues.”
